On-loan striker Gary Mulligan has revealed he may join the Gills on a permanent deal this summer.
Mulligan is in his second spell with the club - his first being curtailed by injury in February - and netted his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at Sheffield United - who he joined last summer from Wolves - and with the Blades looking on the verge of promotion, he looks unlikely to be breaking into their first-team in the near future.
He was one of the first signings made by Gills manager Ronnie Jepson, who is a massive fan of the work ethic of the Dubliner.
And as he looks towards the future, Mulligan has revealed he is happy at Priestfield.
He told the club programme: 'I've had loan spells before at Rushden and Port Vale and here is the best of the loan clubs I've been at.
'I've been made to feel really welcome by the management and staff and I've found that it's a really nice family club.
'I'm going to see what comes up in the summer and it (a move to the Gills) could well be an option.'
