No Activity Expected From Gills

No ins or outs are expected at Priestfield before the loan window closes on Thursday.

After 5pm, no new players can be brought in on loan until the proper transfer window opens in January.

And after his side's third consecutive home win without conceding against Yeovil on Tuesday, Gills boss Mark Stimson revealed he was happy with his squad.

He told KentOnline: 'I wouldn`t have thought we are going to do anything.

'We have got a decent bunch of players now who we can work with until January and then see what happens then.

'I doubt if any more will go out because of our squad now was 20 on Tuesday.

'There are some games coming up as we go Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday again and we need all the bodies we can.'

That means goalkeeper Alan Julian is likely to stay put despite his transfer request last week.

The Gills beat the Glovers thanks to Simeon Jackson's audacious chipped penalty and Stimson was full of praise for his top scorer.

Jackson had missed his last two penalties - one against Southend in the FA Cup and one for Canada in Macedonia - but showed great courage to net past Alex McCarthy.

And Stimson added: 'Simeon Jackson put the penalty away with pure class.

'Fair play to him because he's missed the last couple but he stood up and took responsibility and put us on the way to a very important victory.'
