Allen to reunite with Hughes
Martin Allen, according to what 'sky sports understands', could be reunited with a former player Mark Hughes.
Former Northern Ireland international Hughes was on target for Barnet (who were managed by new Gills manager Allen) on the last day of last season to keep The Bees in league two, although following this he was surprisingly released by the club...
The midfielder has trained with the club and could work with Allen again.
Hughes' ability at this level, and a higher one to be fair, cannot really be questioned so if Allen believes he is of equal, if not better, ability than those already at Priestfield it would be a no-brainer as to if he should be signed or not!
