Narrow win at Dover
Gillingham's pre-season preparations continued with a win at Dover on Tuesday.
Martin Allen made plenty of changes with goals from Jackman and Birchall, who captained The Gills on his return to his former club, putting the visitors in control. A Dover goal reduced the deficit and they were somewhat unlucky to lose 2-1 in the end.

A positive result is a boost but it wasn't comfortable for Gillingham and work is still needed to be done in the final weeks of pre-season before the real thing begins later this month.
