'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Looking for more

After bringing in Deon Burton Martin Allen is hopeful of bringing in further reinforcements ahead of the new season, certainly before the closure of the transfer window.

Gillingham have thus far be thwarted, sometimes, in the attempts to bring players in because those competing against The Gills are playing at a higher level or are offering more money even though Allen, as he told BBC Radio Kent, says Gillingham are offering "good" and "generous" amounts.

He would sooner have players coming to the club that want to though and has a long enough list to draw on so isn't worrying: 'if those ones don't come we've got another list we'll keep having to look at and keep talking. It's long hours, but it's nothing that scares us.'

Money talks sadly, but you cannot offer beyond your means so The Gills are most definitely better off without those that are asking too much.

Allen will bring in players and they will do a job for The Gills I am sure of that.
