Gills brush aside Bees

Barnet 1-3 Gillingham

8th Sept 2012
15:00
Underhill

An impressive start to the season by Gillingham saw them back to winning ways at Barnet on Saturday afternoon.

Gillingham raced into a two-goal lead when Jack Payne (10) and then Danny Kedwell (11) a minute later put them in a dominant position with less than a quarter of an hour on the clock!

Jack Saville (23) brought Barnet back into the game midway through the first half but Deon Burton (39) struck again for the visitors just before the break to restore that two-goal cushion once more.

There were no further goals in the second half with Gillingham seeing out a 3-1 win.
