Wright stuff

Gillingham have dipped into the transfer market to borrow a player with vast experience from Crystal Palace.

David Wright, a 32-year-old midfielder, has joined The Gills on loan from the Championship outfit, for an initial one-month period.

Martin Allen had this to say about his new capture: 'He can play in midfield or anywhere in defence and is another good senior player with a good work ethic to add to our squad.'

Without a doubt Wright has the ability to play at a higher level, and experience of doing so, so should bring in a vast amount of quality and experience to The Gills during this loan spell, however long it might last, with this helping The Gills to maintain (all being well) their fine start to the season.
