Wright back at Palace

David Wright's loan spell with Gillingham has ended, so he's return to his parent club Crystal Palace.

Martin Allen, as he told Kent Online, hopes that another month can be agreed with Palace to see him stay for a little longer.

Should this not be possible though he wishes him well: 'He is back at Crystal Palace now and the chairman and Andy Hessenthaler will be chatting and working out to see if we can come to something.

'We would like him to come back, obviously. If we don't get him to come back that's not a problem. We will get on with it.'

The midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell with The Gills being ever present and playing seven times for the club during his initial month-long stay.
