Gills hammer Scunny

Gillingham 4-0 Scunthorpe
FA Cup 1st Round
3rd Nov 2012

Priestfield

Gillingham thrashed struggling league one side Scunthorpe on Saturday afternoon to move into round two of the FA Cup.

Nothing could separate the sides in the first half, they went in goalless.

Shortly before the hour though Gillingham took the lead through Matt Fish (59), with Deon Burton (65) soon doubling the advantage and a third from Danny Kedwell (76), when he converted from the penalty spot, not far behind that one either.

Adam Birchall (90+3) wrapped up a 4-0 win for The Gills in injury-time to book them a place in the next round.
