Injury-time winner for Gills

Gillingham 2-1 Morecambe
17th November 2012
15:00
Priestfield

Gillingham couldn't have left it much later than they did to secure a dramatic late win over Morecambe on Saturday afternoon to maintain their grip at the top of the league two table.

After seeing Adam Barrett twice denied on the line Gillingham finally did take the lead shortly before the break when Lewis Montrose (37) broke the deadlock to send the hosts into the interval ahead.

Having threatened to do so shortly before Morecambe finally did draw level just past the midway point of the second half when substitute Jack Redshaw (69) levelled things.

A one-all draw was almost certain to be the case, until Deon Burton (90+3) struck deep into injury-time to give the hosts a 2-1 win.
