Gills held by Stanley

Accrington 1-1 Gillingham
24th November 2012
15:00
Crown Ground

Gillingham had to settle for a point at Accrington on Saturday afternoon, and played the final 20-minutes or so with only 10-men.

Chances came and went for both sides in the first half, with a scoreless half looking on. That was until Myles Weston (42) struck just before the break to send Gillingham into this ahead.

The Gills had an effort cleared off the line before a foul by keeper Stuart Nelson saw Accrington awarded a penalty and him a red card. James Beattie (72) made no mistake to draw the hosts level.

Accrington, having cleared another effort off the line, then had the better chance to win the game in the last minute but the post denied them so the game ended 1-1.
