Gills loan midfielder to Oxford
Lewis Montrose was one of three players that Oxford signed this week, this happened when Gillingham allowed him to leave on loan.
Montrose doesn't feature in Martin Allen's plans, at least for the remainder of this season (probably not at all), so the midfielder has been allowed to join The Gills' League Two rivals until the summer.
Allen knows best, and by allowing some of his "fringe players" to move on he may well be able to strengthen the squad to cement the promotion push in place.
