Gills retain top spot

Bristol Rovers 0-2 Gillingham
5th January 2013
15:00
The Memorial Stadium

Gillingham made it two wins in a row to (hopefully) prove that they are back to form when they beat Bristol Rovers at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

As with the last game Gillingham played it was Chris Whelpdale (3), in the same minute; that opened the scoring. Only the post prevented Bristol Rovers from drawing level though.

That post proved to be a turning point as Deon Burton's (44) goal on the stroke of half time further extended The Gills lead.

No further goals were added in the second half so 2-0 was enough for Gillingham.
