Gills Top League Two Again

Gillingham 2-0 Northampton
29th January 2013
19:45
Priestfield

Gillingham secured a home win over Northampton on Tuesday night to return to the top of League Two again.

Cody McDonald (4) continued where he left off at the weekend, and as he had during a previous loan spell with The Gills, with a goal when he struck early to give Gillingham the lead.

Northampton went close to forcing a leveller before the break; one effort was blocked on the line.

An equaliser couldn't be found though with Myles Weston (84) rounding off a 2-0 win for Gillingham late on.
