Always One Idiot!
From time to time there's at least one idiot who has to ruin things, and this idiot happened to be a Gillingham fan on Monday night.
As Jordan Archer prepared to take a goal kick for Wycombe, in the closing stages of their 1-0 win over The Gills at Priestfield on Monday night, a Gillingham fan climbed over the advertising hoardings and went onto the pitch and confronted the teenager.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth had this to say to Sky Sports: 'Some people give the rest of the Gillingham fans a bad name.
'I don't want to comment too much, but everyone is okay in there.'
Ainsworth is right and few will disagree with him!
19-year-old Archer, on loan from Spurs, was quickly spared any harm with a steward apprehending the fan and he was escorted away from Priestfield with him now most likely unlikely unable to return to the stadium anytime soon, if again so what exactly was achieved!
