Birmingham Eye Payne Move

Jack Payne continues to attract attention and a move away from Gillingham looks increasingly likely this summer.

Both Crystal Palace and Peterborough had shown an interest in the midfielder last season and it was Posh that finally secured the 21-year-old for the second half of last season, with them admitting an interest in a permanent signing. Reading are another credited with an interest.

Birmingham are believed to have entered the race for his signature, however problems raising transfer money could make a return to the Championship with The Blues difficult?
