Gillingham have confirmed Amine Linganzi as a summer signing.
The midfielder was freed by Blackburn last season and he ended up at Accrington on a short-term contract for the closing months of the season from February onwards.
During that time the Algerian-born midfielder impressed Martin Allen. In fact, as he told the official website, he was "the best central midfield player" he felt his side faced. He said: 'I believe we have a player who can helps us march onwards and upwards.
'He is massive and he was the best central midfield player that played at Priestfield last season. He will prove to be a good signing.'
23-year-old Linganzi, who had joined Blackburn in January 2010 from St Etienne, has signed a two-year deal with The Gills and will definitely add something to the squad, and quite probably the starting XI in League One next season.
