'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Scunny Sign Former Gills Striker

Deon Burton insisted that he wasn't ready to retire following his release by Gillingham, and the veteran doesn't have to!

Following a short trial spell with Scunthorpe, where he scored goals in successive pre-season games, the 36-year-old has been reunited with his former Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws on a one-year deal.

Burton still has the hunger and desire required to play football, and definitely has the ability so his age shouldn't be that much of a disadvantage to him and I'd bet on him to have a good season with the League Two outfit.
