'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Quartet Made Available?

It annoys me you know!

At times we are knocked for the lack of content that is put out or the relevance or interest it would have to Gillingham fans but then the likes of the Daily Star knock something together and that is fine.

Today the paper reported nothing more than: 'Gillingham have made Chris Whelpdale, Charlie Lee, Steve Gregory and Antonio German available for transfer.'

That was it, just that one line, nothing more or less...

Are we to take that as gospel then?

Despite no effort to back up the claims with any basis at all. There's not even the old classic of "a source close to the club said" or anything!

Perhaps some of these players could be available, quite clearly Charlie Lee can go if the right offer comes in but German only arrived on a permanent basis in the summer so it would seem strange if he was available already?

He has struggled to make an impact this time round though, however Gregory and Whelpdale have both been regulars for Martin Allen.

Fact or fiction, what do we think people?

My personal gut feeling is that most of this has little to no truth behind it at all and I wonder where this came from...
