Kedwell Happy To Soldier On

Kedwell Happy To Soldier On

Not for the first time in recent weeks Danny Kedwell's name appeared on the teamsheet when it was anticipated his long awaited hernia operation had gone ahead.

Over Christmas Peter Taylor played down any suggestion that the Gills were using the injury concern as a way to "be clever" against opponents with his initial hernia operation cancelled and rescheduled for this year, with it thought to have taken place ahead of the Wolves game?

It didn't and he played the full 90-minutes of the 1-0 win.

As long as Kedwell feels ok, and Taylor revealed on the official website that he did, he wants to keep playing so he will. The points total that the Gills want, which should be enough to secure league one survival is in mind, if that can be achieved sooner rather than later he'll then go in for his operation.

Hopefully with Kedwell's help this can be achieved soon and the operation, which would sideline him for a month, can go ahead.
