Marriott Recalled And Loaned To Woking Again

Ipswich Town decided to recall Jack Marriott from his loan spell with Gillingham on Thursday, and immediately loaned him out again.

With the striker, highly rated by his parent club, failing to secure a regular place in the Gills starting XI they decided his development would best be served elsewhere and called him back to Portman Road

Peter Taylor was disappointed to lose him but couldn't give him, or Ipswich, the assurances they wanted about first-team football, he said: 'The lad wants to play first team games and unfortunately I can`t guarantee him that. Jack is a good kid and we wish him all the best.'

The 19-year-old wasn't back with the championship outfit for long mind as he was soon loaned out to Woking again, where he had enjoyed a highly successful loan spell in the first half of the season.
