Egan Comes To Priestfield
Luke Norris wasn't the only player that Gillingham confirmed as a signing on Thursday as the club also announced the arrival of John Egan too.
Egan never made a first-team appearance with former club Sunderland, who released him this summer, but he had undertaken loan spells with Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Bradford City previously.
Last season the Republic of Ireland U21 international enjoyed a highly successful spell with league 2 side Southend United, who wanted to sign him on a permanent basis, with the likes of championship side Blackburn Rovers also linked with the defender but it's Priestfield that he's come to.
Like Norris the length of Egan's contract is two-years and I expect the central defender to have a highly successful spell with the Gills, do you?
