Blackburn Complete Bradley Dack Deal
Gillingham have now officially lost the services of key midfielder Bradley Dack after he completed his transfer to League One rivals Blackburn Rovers.
Dack, who had a year remaining on his contract at Priestfield, has signed a three year contract at Ewood Park as our friends at Vital Blackburn, a club joining the Gills this season following Championship relegation last time round, inform us:
Bradley Dack's arrival at Blackburn has been confirmed.
Dack has joined, becoming the third Tony Mowbray signing after he secured Peter Whittingham and Richie Smallwood, on a three year deal, Rovers paying League One rivals Gillingham £750,000.
Having been linked with a switch to Ewood Park at the weekend, the sticking point appeared to be the transfer fee, potentially the add-ons? However, Blackburn confirmed the fee as being £750,000 plus add-ons, which weren't detailed.
Named the League One Player of the Year in 2016, last season wasn't as easy for Dack, 23, and Gillingham as a whole. But that didn't prevent the midfielder from scooping the Gills' Young Player of the Year award.
After making his debut at 18 in 2012, Dack went on to feature regularly for Gillingham over the years, making 185 appearances at Priestfield scoring 38 goals.
Proven in League One, courting attention from clubs at levels as high as the Premier League in the past, Dack will be another fine addition to Mowbray's Blackburn squad as Rovers seek an instant return to the Championship.

Filling the void left by Dack, central to Gillingham's plans since making his debut almost five years ago, isn't going to be easy but it is what it is and the midfielder will be wished well for the future.
