Easton Set For Bulls Move

League Two outfit Hereford are set to complete the signing of former Gills man Clint Easton on Thursday.

Easton, 29, was released by manager Ronnie Jepson at the end of the season after just one season with the club.

He made 36 appearances for the Gills, scoring once - a stunning goal against Millwall in September - playing at both left-back and left-midfield during the season.

He will become the fourth player to join the Bulls after leaving the Gills in recent years, following Dean Beckwith, Richard Rose and Jon Wallis - who is now with Andy Hessenthaler's Dover - to Edgar Street.

Of the six players released by Jepson at the end of last season, Easton is the fourth to find a new club, with Leon Johnson moving to Wycombe, Frannie Collin to Dover and loanee Ben Chorley moving to Tranmere.

Luke Howell is currently on trial with MK Dons, while the future of the sixth, Brent Sancho, is still unclear.

As well as those six, the Gills have also seen Danny Jackman (Northampton), Michael Flynn (Blackpool), Dean McDonald (Inverness), Matt Jarvis (Wolves) and Danny Spiller (Millwall) leave the club, with just six new faces arriving at Priestfield so far.
