The National League isn't lacking in any huge drop in quality from the conference.

Hardly surprising given they’re the same thing

I assume when we loan a player to a non-league club that the player still trains with us unless he's training with his loan club? In the absence of a proper reserve team it's the only way these players are going to play, so whatever the level it can't hurt. At least he'll be maintaining match fitness if nothing else.

I'm sure SL wouldn't send out players without checking on their progress ie a chat with the manager to see if he did have something at training or two left feet perhaps.

We need to show the same patience with Oldacre as with Hadler. I think he will certainly be a regular in the first team squad next season.

Just seen on the club's Twitter page there are a few quotes from Lovell in his press conference on Thursday, including this with regard to Oldaker:

"I've waited a while to get @DeejOldaker out on loan. He's gone to @hythetownfc. He enjoyed it on Tuesday and if he does well at that level we'll move him up."

Scored two in a six nil win .Seems his stay could well be a short one .

Don’t forget he almost joined a club in Iceland at the start of the season as Pennock was keen on sending him out on loan!
