Forward Andy Barcham arrived at Priestfield - initially on loan - in September 2008 and quickly made an impression on the club.

Pacy and tricky, he is equally at home on the wing and as a central striker, and he scored nine goals to help the Gills win promotion in 2008/09.

His move was made into a permanent one on a short-term deal in January 2009, and he then signed a new two-year contract in the summer of 2009 to stay at the club.
