13/01/79: Division Three (old) - Gillingham 3-2 Tranmere

All-time record v the Gills:

Matches: 26
Gills wins: 3
Draws: 14
Tranmere wins: 9Remember me? The referee pointing at the spot. The Gills have had three penalties in their last four meetings with Tranmere, scored by Nicky Southall, Marlon King and Darren Byfield respectively. Given that we've only ever managed to beat Rovers three times in our history, penalties against them seem to come along more often than wins!Man to watch: Chris Greenacre. After a disappointing spell at Stoke, Greenacre bounced back to form last season and was a vital part of the Rovers squad which eventually beat the drop despite a shocking run of late form.2006/07 prospects: In Ronnie Moore, Rovers have a good manager and he should definitely inspire them to an improvement on last season. Whether it will be too soon for them to make a genuine play-off push remains to be soon but they could well cause some surprises if they are taken too lightly.
